Early Morning Power Breakfast

Hello Friends, ever wondered what keeps you going all through the day. Yes, its your breakfast. After a 12 hour gap, you have food. This has to be your nutritious meal for supplying energy through out the day. Everybody advises you to have a heavy breakfast, light lunch and lighter dinner. But what makes a good nice breakfast. Ever since I have been struck with health issues I have been feeling not so energetic especially in the mornings. After going to a learned man, I came to know what must be taken to keep ourselves going strong.

Now, lets get to the ingredients that make a power breakfast.

1. 30 grams of Oats

2. 20 grams of Muesli

3. 20 Black Raisins (Kismis)

4. 10 Almonds (Badam)

5. 5 Walnuts (Akrot)

6. 3 Figs (Anjeer)

7. 5 Apricots

For the preparation, take a cup of boiling water and boil the Oats in the hot water for 3 minutes to make a porridge. Optionally, you can use warm milk to boil the Oats. After boiling the Oats, add Muesli to it and add all the dry fruits mentioned above to the whole porridge. Voila, your power breakfast is ready. It is very simple to prepare. After having this for breakfast, you will definitely feel filling and energetic throughout the day.

This diet is very good for diabetics and others as well. Now some good things about what we are eating.

Firstly, Oats are highly nutritious and filled with cholesterol-fighting soluble fiber. They also have a pleasant, nutty flavor.

Secondly, Muesli is a cereal made from toasted whole oats, nuts, fruit and typically wheat flakes. Since it uses whole grains, it is high in dietary fiber, and because it relies on the natural sweetness of the fructose in fruit, it is also low in sucrose. Depending upon the proportion of nuts, it can also be relatively high in protein, unlike most other breakfast cereal.
Thirdly, dry fruits are very rich in protein and a number of other things giving us a good taste and keep us energetic through out the day.

Bon Appetit.
